Saudi standard SASO IEC 60034-30:2013 has been enforced since July 1, 2015, and energy efficiency registration has been formally accepted since September 29, 2015. The standard includes single speed, three-phase, 60Hz, cage induction single motors:
Rated voltage not exceeding 1000V;
Rated output should be 0.75Kw to 375Kw;
2 pole, 4 pole or 6 pole motor;
Can reach the rated load sustained rate of 80% or more S1 (continuous working system) or S3 (continuous duty);
It can directly and immediately start;
Suitable for operation under the operating conditions stipulated in IEC 60034 - 1, sixth.
Note:
The standard also covers motors with dual voltages, voltages, and / or frequencies;
The standard also covers the flange number, frame number / shaft length, and the standard IEC 60072 - 1, which is different from the motor.
Since May 1, 2016, the following lighting products exported to Saudi Arabia need to obtain energy efficiency registration certificate:
Directional and non directional light sources with luminous flux of more than 60 lumens and less than 12000 lumens, including the following product categories:
1) incandescent lamp
2) compact self ballasted fluorescent lamp (CFLi)
3) halogen lamps
4) LED lamp (incandescent lamp modification)
5) LED lamp (halogen lamp)
Beginning in January 1, 2017, the above lighting products exported to Saudi Arabia, the product packaging should be affixed to the SASO registered energy efficiency label.
Energy efficiency registration process:
1. sample feeding test
2. submission of application materials (including applications, reports, etc.)
3. obtain the certificate after registration and label as required.
The mandatory energy efficiency registration requirements within the scope of products, in the application of Saudi COC before the certificate shall obtain and hold a valid certificate of registration efficiency, otherwise it is impossible to COC certificate and the smooth export, please have exported to Saudi Arabia needs of the enterprise concerned and performed according to the requirement.
